They do not remember the day. She wasn't born yet. I will not teach them of fear and sadness. I will teach them of a day when evil was sure it could divide, but instead, goodness held together and strengthened beyond measure.
I will teach them the Pledge of Allegiance and what the words mean. What it means to be united. That is what today means to me.
